A dominant theme in all 3 discussions that I have noticed has been “organization. Web 2.0 is a way to help us organize information in our digital life. With all the information that comes to us online daily, being able to use Diigo for example, which helps save links of websites you think is important in a organized way; in a way you will most likely remember how to find it, another feature of Diigo is the highlighter by using it you organize your thoughts to the most important things you are reading, or tag by creating a word that will help organize the web content and label it in a way you will remember. Another web tool that uses the theme is mind mapping; it organizes your mind, ideas as a form of brainstorming. RSS feeds allow you to organize and focus on the sources that are most interesting to you. Another example brought from one of my classmates, was about a co-worker who created a blog after she retired to organize her favorite links and helping keep tracking of where she has been.In conclusion, Web tools are a phenomenal way for me to be able to personalize and organize it in a way that works best for my brain.
